Our Story
Guidance Academy of STEM was established in 2006. The STEM program provides youth with skills and knowledge needed to succeed in engineering, technology and science-based professions, which are not available in a traditional public school curriculum. We are particularly concerned about the needs of the at-risk, minority and low-income students as well as those from homes where English is not the first language. We believe that providing youth with a curriculum that engages them can reduce the number of drop-outs. We provide life-long learning skills for our students so they will become productive citizens and will address the societal problems that keep our young people from succeeding in school.
